Quest’anno ho dovuto rinunciare all’albero di Natale.

This year I had to give up the Christmas tree.

Non è stata una rinuncia facile e anche gli altri membri della famiglia non l’hanno presa bene. Neanche il gatto. Proprio lui aveva preso a sua giostra personale il nostro caro albero, saltando di ramo in ramo. Fortunatamente, forse mossi da poteri di preveggenza, l’albero l’abbiamo montato e piazzato ma non decorato,  proprio per vedere come Sheldon (così si chiama il nostro gatto) si sarebbe comportato. Non è andata bene, almeno per l’albero: in due giorni ben 2 rami divelti dalla loro sede e una moltitudine deformati. Le uniche decorazioni che Linda ha insistito per appendere, dei cioccolatini, sono magicamente spariti, ma in questo caso non so se sia stato il gatto o altri soggetti che abitano in questa casa (anche le carte non si sono più trovate).

It was not an easy renunciation and the other family members did not take it well. Not even the cat. He himself had taken to his personal ride our beloved tree,  jumping from branch to branch. Fortunately, perhaps driven by the powers of prescience, the tree we planted but not mounted and decorated,  just to see how Sheldon (so called our cat) would behave . It did not go well, at least for the tree: in two days than 2 branches torn from their seat and a multitude deformed . The only decorations that Linda insisted to hang, chocolates, have magically disappeared, but in this case I do not know if it was the cat or others who live in this house  also the cards they have never found) .

Insomma non si poteva vedere un albero così mal messo e ho deciso di smontarlo e tenere solo la punta che ho messo in un vaso sopra al mobile.

Un po’ tristino ma sembra che così a Sheldon non piace e non si fila nemmeno le decorazioni, in compenso a preso di mira pecore e maialini del presepio.
Risolta così la situazione, rimaneva però un punto vuoto dove prima troneggiava il nostro albero. Da quando abbiamo rivoluzionato casa quel muro è rimasto vuoto e nelle feste senza albero è ancora più triste. Ho deciso di decorarlo.
Grazie a Pinterest ho trovato dei free da stampare su cartoncino deliziosi (qui la mia bacheca Christmas DIY dove trovate quelli che ho scelto) e con la mia Bigshot ho tagliato delle carte natalizie da abbinare al tutto. Rimaneva come attaccare le palline di carta al muro. Proprio in questi giorni ho avuto una brutta esperienza con gommini adesivi, così  ho optato per non nascondere ma mostrare anche il nastro adesivo utilizzando dei Washi tape adorabili che ho acquistato la scorsa settimana da Ikea. Per ultima la stella l’ho ritagliata da un sacchetto da regalo color oro.

I decided to decorate it. Thanks to Pinterest I found the free print on cardboard delicious (here my wall Christmas DIY where you find the ones I have chosen) and with my Bigshot I cut Christmas cards to match everything. He continued to attack the balls of paper on the wall . Just this week I had a bad experience with adhesive pads , so I opted not to hide but to also show the tape using the Washi tape adorable that I bought last week from Ikea . For the last star I clipped from a gift bag gold.

Ecco pronto il nostro albero di Natale 2015. Il gatto lo guarda ma non può salirci, decora il nostro muro e fa felici tutti.
